Y’all, I’m so excited for Fall I decided to decorate a part of my kitchen counter coffee bar/station! I’m not a professional decorator, but I have been practicing to get down the style I love. I’m so excited to have decorated my DIY coffee station for the Fall, and excited to add in all the coffee essentials. The only issue I’m running into is, that our kitchen is terribly dark! We have so many windows and beautiful natural light in our home, but our kitchen, not so much.
So, I have been racking my brain on how I can make our kitchen brighter. We have brown cabinets, and I thought about painting them a cream color/ white. If y’all have any ideas on how to brighten up a dark kitchen, let me know in the comments below! Of course, budget-friendly options are always welcome, ha!
Now, if you’re anything like me, you’re a complete and utter coffee lover. Give me anything coffee related and I will be a friend for life. So, when we moved into our home, I had to make a specific area for my coffee needs. I’m hoping that one day we can replace our cabinets over the kitchen counter coffee space with open shelving/a floating shelf, I feel as if that would really brighten the space up as well.
So, now I will be showing you my kitchen counter coffee station that I have decorated for the Fall. It’s not perfect by any means, but, I hope it at least gives you some inspiration to decorate your counter space for the Fall season.
Overview of our kitchen counter coffee station!
Here is an overview of our small kitchen counter coffee bar area, a little spot designated for our coffee needs. It’s very low-key, very relatable, and a very achievable perfect coffee bar. In the upper cabinet above the coffee bar nook, I have stored our add-ins such as chocolate and caramel syrup, honey, sugar, and things of that nature. I have also stored our many many extra bags of coffee beans/grounds and extra coffee mugs.
Also, I have some tea bags and hot chocolate stored for my husband. He is a tea drinker and I am a coffee drinker, so this station works out for both of us.
To start, we have a basic (non-fancy) Keurig coffee maker. It takes the pods and it makes a whole pot of coffee. We don’t have an espresso machine yet, but, we are shopping around to find one to add to our small kitchen coffee bar. Also, I used to have a French press, and I’m finding I am missing it! So now, that’s also next on my list to purchase and add to my morning brew routine.
Also, when you have a coffee bar, you can learn to make your own favorite coffee drinks. I like to come here and make my morning cup of coffee. Additionally, I have recently been learning how to make my own frappes and different coffee drinks at home. Instead of going out and spending money every single day at a coffee shop on my favorite coffee, it’s so much cheaper and healthier to make it at home. Having a cute little home coffee station helps encourage me to make my own at home.
Adding Vintage Style Coffee Syrup Bottles To Your Coffee Bar
I love to make things look pretty and uniform sometimes, so, when I found these syrup bottles I was so excited. They are absolutely wonderful and in the perfect place for our kitchen counter coffee bar. Additionally, I think they just add such a clean look to our coffee bar.
As much as I love the big bottles the syrup originally came in, I adore these aesthetic bottles with the pumps. Also, they come with SO many stickers. Pages and pages of different types of syrups for coffee. Now, I love these stickers, although I kind of want to make my own stickers for these bottles. I feel like I could create some stickers to match my style even more! They also go perfectly in small spaces, so if you have a smaller coffee area, these are great.
Adding In Cute Themed Coffee Cups & Pumpkins
So, another idea to add to your coffee bar throughout the Fall season and other seasons is to add in themed coffee mugs. I found these at HomeGoods and I love how unique they are. They are handpainted ceramic mugs, they’re perfect for our kitchen counter coffee bar.
A great idea for finding mugs is you don’t have to shop just at HomeGoods for your favorite mugs, you can also try thrift stores and antique stores. You may find vintage-themed mugs at those places too. Although, I love shopping at Marshalls, Homegoods, and TJMaxx. They’re some of my favorite Fall go-to’s for decor and coffee supplies.
To add a vintage touch to our coffee bar, I added this vintage scale. I adore the look of vintage scales, you can just throw anything on top of them and it’s so adorable.
The pumpkin that’s nestled in its new home on the scale, is my first-ever homegrown pumpkin. I could not be more excited to be growing my very own pumpkins from seed. I feel like real pumpkins add such a personal and real touch of rustic nature to your home decor.
Also, I can’t begin to describe to y’all how satisfying it is to go and cut a pumpkin and bring it in for decor. It’s so rewarding! Although it’s such a small thing, it really gives me a sense of satisfaction that I grew this from a seed. I may try and make a recipe with one of them, we shall see how brave I am.
Motion Sensor Lights For Our Coffee Bar
So, like I told y’all, our kitchen is dark! My husband thought of this wonderful idea of adding in these motion sensor lights that are magnetic. I love them so much and they are AMAZING for when it’s dark in the kitchen. They really help liven up the space. Sometimes, I like a cup of hot coffee at night so he added them so I don’t have to turn on all the lights.
These lights are some of the best things we’ve added to our kitchen. We purchased them from Amazon, and they also come with a charging cord and a remote control. With the remote, you can turn them on and off. Additionally, you can dim and brighten them to your preferred brightness.
So, if you’re looking for an affordable way to brighten up underneath your cabinets, these puck lights are the way to go. They hide perfectly under the cabinets and are very inconspicuous unless you’re looking at them from under like the photo above.
If you’re looking at them like this, you don’t even see the pucks. I would show y’all what they look like without them on, but you wouldn’t be able to see anything!
Themed Coffee Pods For Your Kitchen Counter Coffee Bar
So, to add a little extra razzle dazzle to our coffee corner, we got these Fall flavored coffee pods to add in. I love how cute these coffee pods are! We picked up a pack of 15 at Aldi for $7.99. It was an absolute steal! Finding random things like this to place in our home coffee bar is one of my favorite things ever. Having themed items for each season/holiday is such a fun way to add excitement to your morning coffee routine.
Also, I added these wooden stir spoons, fabric pumpkin, and a vintage marmalade jar! When it comes to adding natural elements, I like to add wood items. It gives a nice rustic and homey feel to the cottage/farmhouse decor style.
So, there are many different types of coffee pods you can use. We normally use the reusable and refillable coffee pods, I just couldn’t pass up these adorable Fall pods. For us, we use the reusable ones because it’s so much cheaper and it prevents a lot of waste from happening. With as much coffee as I drink, pods can add up! This is the first time we’ve splurged on coffee pods in a very long time. Totally worth it.
Ideas If You Don’t Have Enough Kitchen Counter Space
So, if you don’t have enough kitchen counter space for a coffee bar, there are so many different coffee station ideas. You can use an old cabinet, open shelves, a coffee bar cart, a console table, or even just a small table that you have sitting around. A coffee station doesn’t have to be large, you can even have a mini coffee station. It doesn’t have to be expensive or Pinterest-worthy either. As long as you have what you like and what you need, you’re set! I know as long as I have a way to make coffee, I am happy.
One day, I may move my kitchen counter coffee bar area and move it somewhere completely different. Maybe put a coffee cart in our dining room, or find a whole new antique cabinet to turn into my coffee nook. There are plenty of ways to make your morning routine something you look forward to, even if it’s just finding a new mug you love.
Just find a way to enjoy your morning cup of joe at home, I’ve found when I make it at home, it’s so much more peaceful. I love the serenity coffee at home brings when I can sit in my favorite chair and sip on my own time. Finding joy in the quietness is something we should strive to love. Find peace in the quiet and spend your morning with Jesus. It is certainly a great addition to your day.
I hope these tips and tricks have given you some decor inspo for your very own coffee bar! Let me know in the comments how you make your own kitchen counter coffee bar. Thanks for stoppin’ by y’all!
