q & a for the honey butter recipe
Should I use softened butter?
Yes! It’s best to use room temperature butter as it will whip quickly in about 5 minutes. If you want to soften it quickly instead of waiting on it to reach room temperature, place it in the microwave on a plate. Microwave for about 10 seconds, then flip sides, and repeat once more. However, if you need softened butter for a baked item, I wouldn’t recommend this process for that.
What can I pair this honey butter with?
There are so many ways you can use this honey butter! I love using it for a multitude of things and recipes. As much sourdough bread I bake, I absolutely LOVE having these extra homemade toppings on hand for the bread. Although, it’s so amazing on made from scratch cornbread as well.
Here are a few different ways you can use:
- pumpkin cornbread muffins
- sourdough bread
- oatmeal
- pancakes/waffles
- biscuits
- cornbread
- zucchini bread
- bagels
So, get creative with how you use this honey butter and what you can use it with! There are so many great options.
How long does the honey butter last?
As long as you store the honey butter recipe in an airtight container in the fridge, it will last up to 2-3 weeks. You can also freeze honey butter for up to three to four months. Although, as delicious as this honey butter is, you will most likely not need to freeze it. It’s gone in days around our home!
