how to make the apple cider donut muffins:
Ingredients and tools you will need:
- muffin pan
- mixing bowls
- whisk
- spatula
- spoon
- measuring cups
- hand mixer or Kitchenaid stand-mixer
- flour (I use all-purpose)
- baking powder
- baking soda
- salt
- cinnamon
- room temperature unsalted butter
- olive oil
- brown sugar
- granulated sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- fresh apple cider
- milk (I use raw milk, but you can use whole milk)
for the batter
Now, the first step is to preheat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare the muffin pan by greasing it with nonstick spray, or butter.
Second, in a mixing bowl, whisk together your all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Then, set that bowl to the side.
Next, with your hand-mixer or stand-mixer, fluff together the room temperature butter, eggs, and olive oil. Also, be careful to not over mix.
Now, mix together milk, vanilla, and apple cider all in a small bowl and set aside.
Gently pour all of the ingredients into the dry ingredients bowl and slowly incorporate and fold all together.
Pour your batter into your muffin pan about halfway full and place into the oven for 20 minutes. When the 20 minute mark is up, take out the muffins and test the inside with a toothpick. So, when the toothpick comes out clean, your muffins are done.

While the muffins are baking, you will want to start preparing your topping for the muffins. To do so, you’re going to melt your butter in a separate bowl and allow it to slightly cool. Then, you’re going to mix cinnamon and granulated sugar in a separate bowl. Making sure to fully incorporate the cinnamon and sugar.
how to add the topping:
So, to add the topping to the donut muffins, you will coat the muffin with butter. Dipping the sides and then the top with butter, and then doing the same technique with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Keep doing that to all 12 muffins until they are all coated in the glorious topping.
